The primary duties of the Traffic Division are the enforcement of traffic laws and the investigation of motor vehicle crashes. The Division also conducts speed enforcement operations and provides funeral escorts as a community service. Officers assigned to the Division have state certifications for the operation of speed detection devices to include Police Radar and Laser devices. They also have specialized training and skills in the detection of impaired drivers and field sobriety testing.

• Child safety seat laws (effective July 1, 2011).
• Texting and Driving laws (effective July 1, 2010).
• Georgia Super Speeder laws (effective January 1, 2010).

The traffic division is supervised by Deputy Chief Lodge and currently has one part-time officer (Jeremy Worth).
